Here's a 6 month post rate hike market update of Livingston, NJ (April 2022 vs Oct 2022 since interest rates went up). 

During this time, the average home sale price increased from $862,000 to $894,000. 

New listings are down from 57 to 33 and listings under contract are down from 37 to 27. 

Despite some softening in this market, it is still a strong sellers market.

Real estate is local. What's  depicted in the national headlines doesn't always correspond to what's happening in our local markets.
